What To Expect

This page will outline the process and procedures to help you get ready for your appointment

PAPERWORK

In order to make your pet's appointment go as smooth as possible, we complete all paperwork and payment processing ahead of time. This will allow the sole focus to be on your pet

The required paperwork includes a new patient form and a euthanasia consent form ( where you will pick your body care preference)

APPOINTMENT SCHEDULING

In order to avoid criss-crossing all over town we typically use a block schedule.  This means that you will be provided an arrival window when you schedule your appointment.  Typically the day before or morning of the appointment we will provide you with an arrival time within that window.  For instance if you are provided a 5pm-8pm arrival window at the time of scheduling we will then let you know if  your appointment time is 5pm, 6:30pm or 8pm.

Please note that due to the sensitive nature of our business as well as being mobile, arrival times are approximate and may vary by 30 minutes either direction.  We work hard to be timely but do appreciate your flexibility and understanding in the event that our arrival time is slightly different.

If you have specific scheduling needs please let us know and we will do whatever is in our power to help accommodate any special requests.

DAY BEFORE APPOINTMENT

The day before your scheduled appointment, we will send you a confirmation message. Kindly respond to the message, indicating your intention to proceed with the scheduled services. During this interaction, we'll also inquire about your body care preferences to enable our cremation services company to prepare adequately.  If your appointment is on a weekend or during a holiday we may confirm the appointment several days before

DAY OF APPOINTMENT

You will be notified via text message when the doctor is en route to your residence. Our primary objective is to ensure your pet's comfort and ease, which is why our Doctor will arrive dressed in casual attire. This is because some pets can feel anxious or uncomfortable when encountering someone wearing scrubs or a white doctor's coat.

Upon the Doctors arrival we encourage you to share some fond memories of your beloved pet.  We feel that this is a wonderful way to honor their lives as we get ready for their farewell.

The Doctor will walk you through what to expect during the appointment step by step.  They will be able to answer any questions you might have a this time.

Our euthanasia is a two-step process to ensure your pet’s comfort, starting with a sedative and pain injection and then followed by the euthanasia solution. This process ensures a painless and peaceful end of life journey for your pet.

Cremation services will arrive before the end of the appointment and be prepared to escort your pet to the crematorium when your family is finished saying goodbye.

DAY AFTER THE APPOINTMENT

The day after the appointment you should receive several emails from us.  We will be sending any digital copies of prints that we created during the appointment as well as instructions on how to submit your pets memorial

* please note that occasionally it may take us a few days to process the prints.  Please feel free to message us any time if you have questions

Our cremation partner will reach out to you via a phone call to schedule your pets return to your home if you chose the private cremation option
